    Dear Mulan Foundation,

I have been searching for some kind of associations for women of East Asian heritage and I came across your website. Even though I am not Chinese, I am a young lady of East Asian heritage and I believe I face the same challenges as any East Asian female in Britain. I have lived in UK since I was a child and call London my home. However, in recent times, there is an issue which I believe is getting worse every year and it is now distressing me. In the last few months, we all know that many people of East Asian heritage have faced racism and discrimination because of the supposed link with the coronavirus. However, there is any another issue which is less often talked about but equally evil and discriminatory. This is the growing fetishness against women of East Asian heritage in the West including UK. I have lived in another EU country for the past 5 years and I have experienced none of this fetishness which I am now experiencing every day here in London. For the 6 months that I lived in London, I was stalked, groped in public transport, often get hit on and stared numerous times by mainly by often middle aged and elderly men whom I would have no interest whatsoever. This is in addition to several hassle and random messages from unknown middle aged men on social media. I came from conservative family so I don’t dress inappropriately and I don’t do anything to attract attention to myself in any way. I also believe as silent sufferers, many Asian women are experiencing far worse than what I am going through. I am now beginning to understand that many Western men now see Asian women as easy, submissive, and good in bed. For these men, Asian women are nothing but sexual exploits. I also believe that many men are committing this by knowing the quiet and non-aggressive nature of Asian people in general. I therefore believe that all women of East Asian must stand against this evil and perverted prejudice and enable more victims to come forward and seek higher punishment for men who are attempting to exploit women of East Asian origin!!

    Dear Mulan Foundation Network Team,

I came across this website when I was searching a Chinese woman that I admired the most, her name is Suwei Jiang. I admired her hard working and her dedication of being successful and the contribution to the socialites. there are many more I can learn from her or other Chinese women in the U.K. I found very interest about Mulan Foundation Network that they aims to recognise and honour the achievements of Chinese women in the UK and elsewhere through Annual Awards and in the process build up a global network of top and successful Chinese women and young Chinese women on the way up, for networking, mentoring and to support and help each other as well as contribute to the wider community. Because of this message, I strongly believe that I can further achieve more in my career and my passion to be succeed.

I am a dedicated person with great passion for my career. I have been working as a financial accounting since 2004 and currently further pursuing my postgraduate degree in financial strategy at the University of Oxford. As a professional, I have a great interest in, and read on a daily basis, any news that relates to finance, regulatory, accounting, global economy, investment, political, business and history documentary. I believe this helps me understand business and financial risk. In addition, I have been selected into the ACCA magazine global about women in business special edition on page 26 at http://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/ACCA_Global/Members/AB/2017/March/AB-INT-March-2017.pdf

As a strongly results-orientated professional with an unwavering commitment to financial accounting I believe I can be a significant asset to Mulan Foundation Network. I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your time to read this email.
